This week's Highlander of the Week is RU men's basketball senior power forward Correy Watkins. Watkins, a native of Badin, NC helped lead RU to an 81-66 victory over Coastal Carolina University in the first round of the Big South Conference Championship. Watkins lead the Highlanders to victory scoring 27 points on ten of 12 shooting from the field. Watkins also made seven of his twelve free throw attempts and grabbed a team high 10 rebounds. He also had three steals and two assist. Watkins was a force in the paint, scoring on a variety of strong post moves and grabbing key rebounds when the Highlanders needed them most.
