Brandon Faust, "Ritz" rocker: "Californication" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers: "The most beautiful lyrics and absolutely best bass guitar
performance ever! This album is the eclectic classic every rock fan should own."
Andrew "Shaggy" Kinback, staff monster: "Toxicity" by System of a
Down: "The sophomore effort from the four Armenians of metal. Full of
melody, rage, and good ol' fashion conformist-bashing. Features their hit single "Chop Suey!" but if you are looking for a masterpiece check out "Forest." You no longer need to listen to your old RATM albums anymore."
Nick Obloy, graphics gigolo: Sublime's self-titled album: "Cuz it's mad chill."
Stevedogg Glassbrenner, the extra "g" is for quality: "Drops of
Jupiter" by Train: "It's definitely a great album. The band is solid, the songs are solid (musically as well as lyrically.) It was up for 4 Grammy Awards this year (I've got my ever-lovin' fingers crossed that the title track takes song of the year!) and was produced by the Dogg's favorite producer, Brendan O'Brien. What more could you ask for?"
Kevin Martin, star techie: "The Downward Spiral" by Nine Inch Nails: "Trent says it all."
Jenn Peterson, captain graphics: "White Pony" by the Deftones: "I
think this is one of the best hard rock albums of all time. It's heavy,
emotional and you get lost in the music. I love the way the songs flow and think it's a great album."
Shaun Corley, Vulcan disco king: "Music for the Morning After" by
Pete Yorn: "I bought this album back in November, and haven't stopped
listening to it since. I've gotten practically all of 706 into Yorn. I like every song on the album, but my personal favorites are "Strange Condition," "Black" and "Sleep Better."
Daine Vineyard, monetary assassin: "Druqks" by Aphex Twin
Zac Martin, dork with a heart of gold: "Maybe I'll Catch Fire" by The Alkaline Trio: "Powerful songs with poignant lyrics. It's the perfect soundtrack for a rainy day. Personal favorites-the title track, "You've Got So Far To Go," and "5-3-10-4."
