In the world of advertising, design, and production, consistancy is very important. ie: we keep some aspects of this magazine the same year after year. i don't think you would ever see the dell company advertise themselves as dElL, etc. it's just a consistancy and name recongition issue. thanks!

Hey Rachel...I'm just curious as to why WHIM will never be called "WHIM"? That is what it originally started as and still is, right? What do you call it? "Whim"? Is there a difference between "WHIM" and "Whim"?

Since I've been around since the dawning of WHIM (yea and it was good)I have to back Greg up. It stands for We Have Internet Magazine. Although we actually thought of the name WHIM before what WHIM stood for. For a while there we were going to call it the Caber (you know those big poles that Scottish guys toss around). So in the discussion we needed to come up with a name on a whim. And it was so. And there was much rejoicing. And on the 5th, 6th, and 7th day we rested. Oops wrong creation story. :)
