Never Forget to Lock Your Door!Graphic By: ILLUSTRATOR

Never forget to lock your door! I'm sure you've heard this over and over by now. Always lock your door. You hear it from your parents, peer instructors, and basically anyone with some common sense. They tell you lock your door and protect your property. Well I'm going to give you a new reason. It keeps complete strangers out of your bed.

Okay, first off I'm a complete idiot. I usually don't lock my door, especially if I'm in the building, but after last Friday night I'm always locking the stupid door. It was Friday night or Saturday morning, whatever you call 4 AM, and I was downstairs in my residence hall visiting my friends, just hanging out like I always do. Next thing I know my sister walks down the hall into the room and tells me there is a guy upstairs asleep in my bed!

My first thought was she's got to be kidding. Who the hell could be that stupid? Asleep in my bed? There are flowers all over the sheets. Only a retarded orangutan would not realize that it's a girl's room. But I go upstairs and sure enough there is some guy passed out on my bed. After that my friends, roommate and I spend the better of twenty minutes trying to wake this guy up. Appartently he was up here visiting a friend, and he got so drunk he didn't remember which room his friend lives in so he wandered into my room because the door was unlocked.

So kids, remember to lock your doors or you'll have to kick a drunk out of your bed at 4 in the morning.

Good point, but if I came back to my dorm and found a drunk girl in my bed, I'm not sure I'd really mind. Is that wrong? :)

That is a humerous situation that was explained to me in this article. I had a few laughs and it looks like you were learned a lesson. LOCK doors!! Locking doors is a good thing to do for the future of people in Radford University. No one can open a locked door. That is the main reason why it is good to lock a door, unless you want a person to open the door.
