Site Review: The BBS Corner

Do you remember the world before the Internet? Did you ever buy a 9600 baud external modem and think you were a computing master? Do you remember, L.O.R.D., Usurper, or Trade Wars? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then you probably also remember the glory of dialing into your favorite BBS.
The BBS Corner is the perfect place for all of us who miss the old days of BBSing, in all of its 16 color ANSI glory. It's also a great place to learn about BBSes, in case you've never heard the term before. The extensive FAQ's on BBS hosting and accessing software, as well as "door games" and other BBS utilities, make this site your one-stop shop for any BBS question you ever had.
But wait, there's more! If your fancy calls for a more hands on approach, and reading about BBSes is just whetting your appetite, then you'll love the telnet BBS list that this site maintains. Yes, I said telnet. You no longer have to tie up a phone line, or even have a modem, to gain access to the best of old-school entertainment. The BBS Corner provides links to several color telnet clients, as well as maintaining a list of over 500 telnetable BBSes, ranging from advanced message board servers to dedicated game machines.
While I could go on and on about how great BBSes are, and how great The BBS Corner is, I instead urge you to visit the site for yourself, and form your own opinions. As always, if you want more in-depth information, feel free to email me, Tim Evans, any time.
