Album Review - Golden State
Amanda Hoffer | Staff Writer

Bush is back. With the release of their fourth studio album, "Golden State," we see Bush as we haven't seen them since "Sixteen Stone." With good lyrics and fresh new music, this is the closest they have gotten to the perfection they created on "Sixteen Stone."

The first single off the album, "The People That We Love," is just the start of what is a great album. There is the minimalistic "Out of This World" and the lush "Inflatable." Then there is the driving "My Engine is With You," lyrically one of the longest on the album but the shortest song. "Reasons," which can only be described as a cry of confusion and the desire for love. And one of my favorites, "Float," which says so much in it's first few lines: "It's a beautiful world but everyone's insane/ Either you swim or either you fade/ It's revolution time we're sleeping at the wheel."

So check it out. If you don't feel like buying it is online. But this one is so good I'm not just downloading this time, I'm buying it as well.

To the previous poster: Jeff's remarks are not unfounded. Clinical stuides have proven time and again that Bush's music is crap. A recent study, published up in The Harvard Crap Review, titled "Bush and the Interplay of Craponics" concluded that not only is Bush's music is beyond crap, and researchers now conclude that Bush's music is shit. So, poster, why YOU think before you make comments like that?
