Bong Formers, More Than Just Red Eye!
Tim Evans | Tech Section Manager
Following "Beast Machines" is hard business for 3D Animators and story tellers alike. The Transformers saga was winding down to a close, but several stoned story-writers decided to spice things up. Replacing the Traditional cast was no small task, but a clever plot twist was the perfect answer.
After discovering the "Lost Stash Of The Creators", all the Transformers, from Megatron to Optimus, find their new and ultimate power as they transform into BONG FORMERS!
Using their new found abilities to transform into wonderfully rendered "Water Pipes", and convert energon into "Enerjuana", they...sit around and do nothing. While the writers originally planned to have them all travel to the present time and take on government figure-heads such as Janet "StarScream" Reno, and "Soul Train" Reinquest, the bottom fell out after the animators ran out of "Energon" and passed out. While they tried to detox the Transformers, who weighed several tons each, the producers made a quick decision on the new theme song, in order to bring in new viewers. Written by the Stoned Temple Priestesses, the theme song now tells about the epic battle between Optimus and Megatron for Enerjuana.
Not to give away the ending or anything, but it all ends when the Decepticons shoot Megatron in the back of the head for bogarting. They take what's left of the "Stash Of The Creators", and joined the Autobots for a party with cheesy bread.
