"1971, we all heard the starters gun, New York is such a pity but at Max's Kansas City we won." A quote from one of their Night in the Ruts album and in 2001 they are still in the game of Rock and Roll. Not only is 2001 the thirtieth year the Bad Boys from Boston have been in the music biz, but it is also the same year they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and released their 13th studio release since 1997's Nine Lives, Just Push Play.

Just Push Play features all five original members of the band. Steven Tyler on vocals, harmonica, squeezebox, piano, and percussion; Joe Perry on guitar, background vocals, hurdy gurdy, pedal steel and slide guitar; Brad Whitford on guitar; Tom Hamilton on Bass and Fretless Bass; and Joey Kramer on the Drums. This is also the first album where band members Tyler and Perry helped in produce the album.

Most of you have probably heard Jaded on the radio and MTV and you either love it or are sick of it. Jaded is the first single to be released and just an introduction to what else lies within this album. Other songs that are sure to be hits and get stuck in your head include the title track, Just Push Play, Trip Hoppin', Sunshine, and Drop Dead Gorgeous which lends Joe Perry as lead vocalist with Steven Tyler on background vocals. Overall Just Push Play is pretty good and if you like Aerosmith as much as I do then you will like this album. Rolling Stone gave the album three and a half stars but RS readers gave the album four and a half stars. Most people are saying good things about the album.

You can decide for yourself if Just Push Play is worth buying by listening to the sound clips below. If you like them, go out and buy the album, put it in your player, and just push play. It's sure to please. If you buy it from Best Buy you will get the bonus track, Face.

You can look for Aerosmith on tour to promote the album starting in June. They plan to tour with Kid Rock and Eminem.
