Remembering Lori Pleasants
Tim Saunders | Guest Writer
The home of Rodney and Donna Pleasants is sprinkled with solemn reminders of a young woman described as energetic and full of life. A picture of a young dancer sits as the centerpiece of a photograph collection that tells the story of a girl with the energy and ambition to try just about everything once. A large paper butterfly sits perched outside the kitchen as a symbol of someone whose friends knew her as the “butterfly girl.”
So You're Thinking of Grad School, Eh?
Shaun Corley | Ritz Section Manager
For some people, obtaining their bachelor's degree is the end of the road education-wise. Yet in an increasing number of fields, an advanced degree is highly desirable and in some cases a necessity. Having A Senior Moment Here
Jennie Judy | Head Copy Editor
Senioritis set in about three weeks ago.
I caught it later than most. I started skipping meetings for no good reason, when it was only last year that I scoffed my good friend Brian for doing the same. What did I know? Senior moments are counting down the days to the next big assignment instead of graduation, weddings, or trips. Senior moments are looking around you and getting wishy-washy about this being the last _______ (fill in the blank here- Highlander Festival, fall, April, whatever).
