Nintendo cannot be forgotten in the two-part console war that is about to reach the United States. While Sega and Sony duke things out in the following months, Nintendo has their sights set on Microsoft with the launch of the Gamecube. The Gamecube promises to be one of the greatest contenders of the current gaming era. With the development of mascots like Pokemon and Mario (who is better known worldwide than Mickey Mouse), the gamecube is sure to turn heads next year.

Hardcore gamers will be happy to know that there will be a good game selection with Nintendo's line-up. Alongside of Mario, there will be plenty of sequels making an appearance on the shelves next year; Zelda, Megaman, and Pokemon to name a few. It will also be interesting to find out what the developers plan to release.
