So you got a PS2? How about your peripherals?![]() Those who have a PS2 (to those who do not: I feel your pain) will discover that there are some very trendy options that can be utilized. First of all, if you have the system, it comes with a brand new Dual Shock 2, a standard power cord, and a stereo A/V cable (not to mention a DVD ROM). As an added bonus, there will be much more available in the near future. PS2 can stand on its own, but Sony has craftily marketed some "game stands" that can be used to hold the system up. The vertical stand, which is at about 45-degree angle from any flat surface is about fifteen dollars, while the horizontal stand (flat) is ten dollars (retail). To many, this will seem a bit impractical, but it is a must have for the hardcore gamers who have nothing better to do but to spend money on useful, but unnecessary, accessories. Memory cards will be available and capable of holding tremendous amounts of information at the pricey thirty-five-dollar value. The Dual Shock 2 is currently obtainable, but the availability of alternate controller colors will vary by location. Always remember: it isn't the system's full capability that makes a gamer, but rather the skill (and a week's salary) that makes a gamer. |
