Oh, when you type the letters, instead of appearing in the middle of the screen, they will appear in the bottom left corner. After you type "ABACUS," you will hear a buzz and the word "OK" will appear. That will let you know that you entered the code correctly.

Okay, I know we usually don't post game codes here, but here's a cool one for the N64 version of "Pod Racer:" First, make sure the last game file is "empty". Select any other file. Hold "Z" and type "RRTANGENT" but use the "L" button to select the letters. Make sure you select "END" to finish it by highlighting "END" and pressing both "L" and "B." Go back to the main menu and enter the same file. Now type "ABACUS" again using the "L" button to select the letters and pressing "L" and "B" after highlighting "END." Now, go to the main menu and hold down the left-C button. At the bottom of the screen, it will say all tracks and racers unlocked. Now go back into the select file screen. In the fourth slot, a file called DBG will be there. Go to that file. When you are about to start a race, pause the game and press left, down, right, and up. A "game cheats" option will appear. Now you will have all of the cheats available. Most of them are your basic cheats but there is one that allows you to modify your pod virtually any way you want it. Try racing at 2000 m.p.h. Damn!

I think whim needs an online gaming forum. A place where gamers from RU and VT can post games. Maybe whim can sponsor games and post the results. One of these forums would work fine if you clean it out weekly. what do you think?

People that have good luck out of a Packard Bell are rare. I have worked on computers for a number of years now. From my experience about 8 out of 10 Packard Bell users have problems. You may have had good luck out of a Packard bell in the past but your money is better spent on a machine that has a better track record. Try Dell, from what I have seen they are the best computer company. Followed by Micron.
Name:Brian Korte Comments:
I had a Packard Bell for a good long time, and although I cussed a lot at it, the machine served me quite well. I bought a new computer, and now have the same problems. It's all about the software you put on the machine...parts are parts. It's the softwre that conflicts with itself causing crashes.
Name: V Comments:
I happen to have a Packard Bell and all though she's a tempermental demon sometimes, she hasn't broken yet despite all the additions she's gotten. :oP~
Comments:
best tip ever:
If your computer says packerd bell on the front of it then it is destin to break. You sould turn it to scrap asap. or make it into a nice foot rest.

Oh, by the way to the person who likes to cheat, AINT isn't a word. Obviously, you must have cheated on your fourth grade spelling test.
Name:Brian :) Comments:
Yes, the Internet is great. If you're at the college level and are cheating on tests, you have a problem that nothing on the Internet can solve. I recommend a nice long session in front of your mirror. You want to cheat your whole life, dude? What's the point? Who are you fooling?
Comments:
I cheat on my test a lot and was wondering if anyone knows of any good warez sites to find exam papers and stuff. Please post. Aint the internet great? Thanks Whim

Who ever said anything about software piracy? I sure didn't...I was offering a hard drive for sale and you can keep what's on it if you want or you can format it.
And by the way...I'm sure you all buy your games (yeah right) and if you do that's great...i'm sure all the software companies really appreciate your contributions.

To have your mail forwarded to your aol address, just create a file called ".forward" in your account. In that file, just put your other email address. This will automatically forward your email from your RU address to your new address.
Name: Brian :) Comments:
Stuck, all you need to do is send an email to helpdesk@runet.edu, and give them both your email, and the AOL address. When they upgraded this winter to a higher-level email system, they forgot this problem. They can fix it manually, but have not yet fixed the problem. Maybe if enough people complain....
Name: Stuck! Comments:
I cannot get my email to work. I tried to forward my email to my AOL account, but it isn't working. What do I do?
If you've ever done anything mundane and tediously
strenuous in
Photoshop, and plan on doing it again in the same way for another project, this tip is for you. In Photoshop, go to your menu, and choose WINDOW>SHOW ACTIONS. Actions are essentially macros.
Photoshop 4 and 5 both have implemented actions into the program. Click on the blank page button to create a new action. You'll be prompted to title the action. Give it a title, and begin. Click on the red button to record, and start performing the
task. Size the image, crop it, adjust the resolution, save it as doggie.jpg, and actions will record it all. When you've completed the action, hit the stop button. Be sure you're in button mode (use the actions menu to be sure button mode is checked),
and open up a new image. Click on your newly-made action, and watch as the computer automatically performs the magic for you. Don't ever be tied down again! Let the computer and Photoshop do your dirty work!
