"She's All That" has a similar plot to "My Fair Lady." The senior class president of a high school, Zach Siler, (Freddie Prinze Jr.) takes a bet that he can turn Laney Boggs, (Rachael Leigh Cook) an unpopular girl, into the prom queen. Zach's ex-girlfriend, Taylor, (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) is also running for prom queen, and resents Laney for suddenly becoming popular.
The movie is both very funny and very touching. It has some of the best moments involving
Taylor and her new beau, Brock Hudson, (Matthew Lillard) a former Real World cast member.
Kieran Culkin also gives a great performance as Laney's younger brother Simon, a popular target of bullies.
Despite the similarity of the plot to some other movies, "She's All That" is well done, creative, and heartwarming. The ending is really sweet, and it makes a wonderful date movie.
