RU Ski and Snowboard Club

by KRISTIN JONES

Gliding down fleece white powder is an experience all its members share. It's a feeling everyone should experience.

Radford's Ski and Snowboarding Club reorganized last year and came back in full force this year, appointing a new advisor and taking trips to Massanutten and Homestead. Many previously planned trips were cancelled due to the warm weather. However, there is still an overnight trip to Snowshoe Ski Resort planned for March and a trip to Timberline expected in April.

Dues for the Ski and Snowboarding Club are $12. Club dues cover a Ski Card and some trips and functions. The Ski Card gives you discounts at resorts all over the United States on things ranging from lift tickets to ski and car rentals.

Meetings for the Ski and Snowboarding Club are held every other Tuesday at 8:30 p. m. in Heth. The president, Chuck Akers, e-mails all members when and where meetings will be held. To join Ski Club and add your name to the e-mail list, contact Chuck at cakers@runet.edu.
