Birds piss me off. Every morning all I hear is "tweet," "tweet."
Now, mind you, it is not the little peeps like you hear in "Snow White."
Instead it is more like the ravenous chirp for blood that you hear in Hitchcock's
"The Birds."
I am usually woken up by these squawks around 5 a.m.
Some dumb bird decides it is necessary to practice singing at the break
of dawn. I wish it sounded like singing though. It definitely sounds
like practice. One part "squawk-a-dee......squawk-a-dee," will be
repeated over and over. And just when I think it's finished, it's not.
It usually grows louder.
I've tried closing my windows, but here at
RU, the windows are not exactly sound-proof. So now while I'm
falling asleep in class because I was awakened way too early by a little
feathered friend, all I can think about is wringing its little
neck. Hmmmm, maybe I'll ask for a B.B. gun for Christmas.

Olivia...you are such a sweetheart. I wish everyone was as caring as you. This article is a little bit of a fars that I wrote as a filler and the president liked it so much that we decided to run it. I know they don't know I'm trying to sleep. :)
