The Campus is Our Playground

by THE RU INLINE SKATING CLUB

Taking 16 hours of classes per week and maintaining a social life is just downright stressful. Everyone needs some time to relieve that stress. Why not release that stress in a fun and athletic way while meeting new people? Sound like a great idea? Ever inline skated? Ever wanted to learn?

RU Inline is Radford University's inline skating club. The purpose of the club is to provide a social medium for those interested in skating with others.

The organization was formed in Fall of 1996 and made an official campus club in Spring of 1997.

"Interest in the club has been great over the years," says RU Inline President Rod Schulz.

One of the greatest benefits of skating with a group of people is that you tend to push yourself a little harder than usual. This also helps people meet others with similar interests.

The group is composed of people with a variety of skill levels and skating styles. People from RU Inline skate almost every night, weather permitting, starting around 8:30 p.m. If you are interested in skating with the group, come join us.

Check out RU Inline's web page for more information about this club.

Coming up next time in the Club Spotlight, RU Outdoors explores nature.
