Alumni License Plates Take pride in your vehicles and your affiliation with RU. Whether you are a graduate, student, proud parent of a student or friend and fan of the RU Highlanders, the RU license plate is a fun way to convey your Highlander Pride. The RU license plate is available from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles for only $25 per year. Not only will you be sharing your passion for RU, you will be generating a $15 non-tax deductible contribution to RU after the first 1,000 plates are sold.
