3 Tests 60%
Homework/Quizzes 20%
Final Exam 20%
Letter grades will be assigned based on the following scale:
Types of Assessment:
1. Homework/Quizzes: Students will be assigned homework problems from the book. Quizzes will be given based on homework assignments
2. Tests: There will be three tests given during the semester. Makeup tests will not be given. If you miss a test, your final exam will replace the missing test score.

4. Extra Credit: The instructor will occasionally take attendance. One point extra credit will be given to the student if he/she is in class that day. The accumulated points will be added as extra credit points on the next test.
Calculators: Students are encouraged to use calculators. No restrictions are placed on the use of calculators in homework, in class, or on tests.
Honor Statement:
You are encouraged to work together on homework, provided there is an exchange of ideas. However, during tests and quizzes, you are on your honor to neither give nor receive help.
By accepting admission to Radford University, each student makes a commitment to understand, support and abide by the University honor code without compromise or exception. Violation of academic integrity will not be tolerated. This class will be conducted in strict observance of the Honor Code. Refer to your Student Handbook for details.
