Types of Assessment:

1. Homework: Students are encouraged to work together on homework assignments provided there is an exchange of ideas. Students are also encouraged to get help from the instructor when needed. Late homework will not be accepted.

2. Tests: There will be three tests given during the semester. Makeup tests will not be given. If you miss a test, your exam will replace the missing test score.

3. Final Exam: The final exam will be comprehensive.

4. Extra Credit: The instructor will occasionally take attendance. One point extra credit will be given to the student if he/she is in class that day. The accumulated points will be added as extra credit points on the next test.

Calculators: Students are encouraged to use calculators, preferably a graphing calculator (TI-82 or TI-83). No restrictions are placed on the use of calculators in homework, in class, or on tests.

Honor Statement:

You are encouraged to work together on homework, provided there is an exchange of ideas. However, during tests you are on your honor to neither give nor receive help.

By accepting admission to Radford University, each student makes a commitment to understand, support and abide by the University honor code without compromise or exception. Violation of academic integrity will not be tolerated. This class will be conducted in strict observance of the Honor Code. Refer to your Student Handbook for details.
