My name is Amy Catherine David and I am a senior at Radford University!!!
In Web Production we have been learning to make our own webpages and for the midterm project we were asked to examine three websites, review them, and create a web site review page for each. For my project I chose to review websites that I thought were interesting or important for others to visit.
I chose a multimedia show "Alchemical Animation" from FLYPmedia.com for my first review site. Photos, animation, links to other slide shows and embedded videos were all incorporated into this site to make it more appealing to its viewers and that's what attracted me the most. The artist combines his paintings with amination techniques into brief clips to make a film.
For my second site review I chose mediastorm.org because of their many fansinating multimedia projects. It was hard to pick just one to review. I decided on the "Ninth Floor by Jessica Dimmock becuase I thought it was the most powerful. It provided narrative as well as visual transitions throughout to tell the story of a group of struggling drug addicts and what their lives were like in the "Ninth Floor" of an apartment building.
I chose this mulitmedia production by Chris Bickford for my third site review because I was just drawn to its pictures. The site has a bunch of different shots of people surfing in the ocean, people in the ocean, and gigantic waves all from different angles and various types of shots. It involves still pictures as well as a narrative to go along with it to tell the story.
