I think my website for Bob Stepno's COMS 326 Web Production turned out very well overall. The purpose of the final project was to make a website for a business or organization and I chose to design a make believe business to allow myself to be more creative and have something of my own to show futute employers.
I decided to design my own bar called "Lucky Seven" and show the types of things we offer, our menu, signature drinks, and photos. All of the pictures were either mine or stock photos from websites like corbis.com and others. I thought this would be a neat, original idea that many would find interesting and entertaining.
I felt the entire layout, fonts, and descriptions of site are very good and through. I worked very hard to get this website up and running and spent many hours tweaking it and trying to make everything look professional and unique.
There are some spots, like the "Signature Drinks" page for example, that didnt come out exactly the way I had planned. For instance I wanted the drink labels to be directly under the picture but I just couldnt get it to work.
There were a couple other minor things that could use fixing but with only a limited amount of time and knowledge I could only do so much. I did learn a lot though and hope others are impressed with my hard work.
