In this assignment I first converted the five images on the left from .jpg format to .gif format.  This conversion was necessary to support the transparency of the backgrounds.  I used the same selection tools as noted on assignment #2 to select the backgrounds of each image.  I then copied and pasted a new layer of the already existing photo.  Then, by right-clicking the new layer in the layers palette, I was able to change the backgrounds opacity to zero.
