On March 26th and 27th of 2009 a Radiothon Fundraiser was held for St. Jude by 107Country PSK (107.1FM) and 105.3 The Bear (105.3FM) in the new river valley area.

This was the 8th year that 107 country participated and the 2nd year the the Bear has been involved. The idea is to have several live DJ's on the station all day long playing sound clips from families and telling the stories of children getting the help they need from St. Jude to inspire the community to donate and help them continue their live saving work.

Listeners were asked to become partners on hope by donating $20 a month to St Jude or by donating more than $240 in one donation. It totals to less than a dollar a day and they could help save the life of a child at St Jude.
Thanks to all the local listeners who donated and a very special thanks to final last minute caller who donated $6000, the Radiothon was a success and the total raised was $35,599.
This amount surpassed last years total from the radiothon at these stations and showed how much our community cares for the children at St. Jude. |

ST JUDE
Two of the best concepts at St Jude are:
1. They are working towards closing their doors forever, which means they want to cure cancer and other childhood illnesses.
2. If your child becomes sick and St Jude can help, they will, and you will never see a bill from St Jude. They believe that you shouldn't have to worry about paying for the medical treatmetns, but rather you should worry about being there for your child. |
