American Advertising Federation
American Advertising Federation is an organization run by students that enables students to gain valuable real world advertising experience. Accounts are made and then tailored to by students who make up mottos, logos, and other various advertisements for a vast plethora of companies in the area.

American Marketing Association
The American Marketing Association is both a collegiate and a professional organization. A wide variety of activities such as speakers, programs, and conferences give members a great opportunity to broaden their understanding of the field of marketing.

Criminal Justice Club
The Criminal Justice Club is designed specifically for students in the criminal justice curriculum. Members participate in field trips and attend lectures given by criminal justice practitioners. Other events include the annual criminal justice job fair and socials. This club enables students to interact closely with criminal justice faculty. e-mail

Delta Sigma Pi
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional co-ed business fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities. We encourage scholarship, social activities and community service within the community and Radford University. We also seek to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

Dietetic Association

Economics Student Association
The Economics Student Association unites economics undergraduate majors by encouraging student and faculty interaction and by holding seminars, debates, and other activities, while establishing an environment that promotes the development of leadership and innovation.

English Club
English Club is an academic organization that serves to promote the study of literature. It sponsors the annual Thomas E. Coleman Creative Writing Contest to foster student participation in the arts.

Fashion Society of Merchandising and Design
"Learning to fill our fashionable shoes while maintaining friendships that never go out of style.”
The Fashion Society of Designers and Merchandisers (Fashion Society) is a curriculum-based organization open to any student with an interest in fashion, in addition to those who study it.  The Fashion Society strives to develop a community for fashion-conscious individuals to create new designs, network with industry professionals, promote originality in fashion and style on campus and make meaningful contributions to the community.

Financial Management Association
Financial Management Association (FMA) is a globally recognized professional business organization whose main goal is to connect our members with the business world. We continuously strive to turn the thoughts and ideas of club members into action and produce positive group experiences. e-mail

Geography Club/ Topography Unlimited
The Geography Club concentrates on fundraisers such as selling T shirts and Christmas trees to earn money for club sponsored events. It also participates in Geography Awareness Week in November, white water rafting, mountain bike expeditions, and camping. e-mail

This organization will provide students working toward a Master of Science in Art Education and Master of Fine Arts with opportunities for professional development in art. GASA will provide a working environment conducive to scholarships, creativity, originality, community building, and growth. It will encourage professional development through seminars, lectures, demonstrations, critiques, museum and gallery visits, exhibits, competitions, conferences, and exchanges.

Harmony in Motion
Harmony in Motion is an organization which strives to develop a voice to unite the students and faculty of the dance department as well as to provide a sense of community within the department. People outside the department with a vested interest in dance are welcome to become a part of our organization as associate members. e-mail

International Association of Jazz Educators

Institute of Management Accountants
The IMA is an organization designed to give accounting majors insight to the actual business applications of the accounting profession and to assist pre business majors in determining whether accounting is the appropriate major for them. This is accomplished through guest speakers and programs which expose the student, to the "real world of accounting." In addition, the club helps guide the accounting student through college, from choosing a major to preparing for an interview. Non accounting majors are welcome.

La Sociedad Hispanica - Spanish Club
The Spanish Club strives to provide students with cultural and educational information as well as social functions relating to Hispanic culture.

Lambda Alpha Epsilon - Criminal Justice Fraternity
Founded in 1996, Lambda Alpha Epsilon is Radford University's only national co ed criminal justice fraternity. The focus is on the furtherment of Criminal Justice through professional interaction with criminal justice agencies in our community. The organization offers members a higher understanding of criminal justice, while maintaining a social environment for members to sharpen their leadership skills. Community service, field trips, scholarships, and workshops are all aspects of the fraternity. e-mail

The RU MBA Student Association utilizes the strengths of its students and alumni to enhance the post-graduate experience and the overall development of business students by providing intellectual, social, networking and professional development activities that supplement program coursework.

Music Therapy Student Organization strives to enthusiastically promote the field of music therapy and to ultimately strive to instill an awareness of the important role music has in the healing of the Mind, Body, and Spirit.

National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA)
National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is an organization composed primarily of students majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders, but is open to students from all disciplines. The organization focuses on issues related to speech-language pathology and audio logy. Throughout the year, NSSLHA carries out fundraising events, social activities, and service projects on the RU campus and in the surrounding community. e-mail

Psychology Club
The purpose of this organization is to represent the interests of the members in all university activities, specifically those related to psychology, and to facilitate the exchange of information between the university and the students. The club also aims to improve upon the educational experiences of the students in the Psychology Department, to facilitate relationships between the faculty and members, and to encourage volunteer work that serves the surrounding community.

Membership in this organization is open to any graduate or undergraduate student majoring in recreation.

Sigma Alpha lota (Women's Music Organization)
Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI) International Music Fraternity for Women (Eta Upsilon Chapter) is open to any fulltime female student at Radford University. Members must have completed, or be enrolled in, at least one music course and have performed in at least one of the university's musical ensembles. SAI promotes interaction between those who share a commitment to music and high standards of academic achievement.

Social Work Club
The Social Work Club invites students interested in the field of social work and in helping in the community to join. The members of the club were the pioneers in founding a chapter of Habitat for Humanity on campus. In coming years, the club plans to work with older adults, underprivileged children and the mentally retarded and collect money and donations for many agencies in the community in need of assistance. The club also creates special activities and programs for its members that deal with the social work profession.

Society for Advancement of Management (SAM)
Society for the Advancement of Management strives to be a leading edge management organization for facilitating learning, personal and professional development, and establishing networks necessary to compete in today's global business environment. SAM offers many benefits to students, is a fun organization to be a member of, is open to all majors, and competes in Annual Case Competitions.

This organization is open to all students who have an interest in or a desire to work with children with special needs. This organization is a representative of the professional organization of Council for Exceptional Children. Membership can be actively continued after graduation.

Student Personnel Association
The mission of the Student Personnel Association is to promote the academic, professional, and personal development of masters candidates in the field of student affairs. Membership is open to anyone interested in student affairs, including graduate students, undergraduates, faculty, and practioners.

Student Managed Investment Portfolio Organization (SMIPO)
The purpose of this organization is to allow students at Radford University an opportunity to gain practical experience in the management and investment decision-making processes of an investment portfolio management organization by participating in the hands-on management of the funds of Radford University Foundation's endowment to the Student Managed Investment Portfolio Organization. e-mail
