Bridges and Pipelines Scholarship FAQ last updated 2011.Mar.11 Q1: Is there a separate application required in addition to applying to the university? If so, how do students get an application? A1: Yes -- the form is available at the website mentioned in the brochure: http://www.radford.edu/sstem Q2: What is the application process? A2: The student can fill print out and fill the application and mail it back, or can email a file (.pdf or .doc/.docx only). Letters of recommendation should be submitted the same way, by the recommender. Q3: When are students notified? A3: We'll notify students shortly after the regular deadline (around 2011.Apr.13). If we don't get enough applicants who meet the criteria, we'll continue accepting-and-notifying on a rolling basis after that. Q4: How many of the 20 scholarships are available to students who did not participate in the pre-college programs? A4: 12 are open to all, with the other 8 being reserved for participants in those programs. After the regular deadline (2011.Apr.07), any of the reserved slots that have not been awarded will be opened to all. Q5: Are these scholarships available for academic year 2012-13 only or is this a continuing program? A5: It's renewable up through 2012-2013, so the 2012 cohort will get 2 years of assistance (assuming they maintain good standing, of course).
