Scholarships for Science, Math, and Information Technology

at Radford University

Are you a leader?

Radford University's NextGen program offers meritorious students with financial need a scholarship program to alleviate the financial burden in attending college. Through a novel Leadership in Science, Technology or Mathematics (Elites) program and its support programs, scholarship recipients will get personalized attention from faculty advisors, peer mentors and (in future) a strong alumni network to help succeed academically as well as pursue their passion in their major.

Applying for the scholarship

Please send an email to puppuluri@radford.edu (or any of the staff below) requesting information about the application process

Scholarship recipients must:

Be citizens of United States, Nationals of the United States (as defined in Section 101 (a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act), aliens admitted as refugees under Section 207 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, or aliens lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence;
Be enrolled full time in one of the degree programs specified in NSF 12-529 at the baccalaureate level. Enrollment must be full-time for each semester or quarter a student receives a scholarship;
Demonstrate academic potential or ability, and

Leadership in Science, Technology or Mathematics (Elites) Program

Through the Elites program (participation for scholarship students optional although some aspects are mandatory), recipients will develop one or more leadership skills such as:

Effective technical communication
Conduct original research with faculty members
Interact with renowned researchers in the field
Interact with peers with similar academic interest from different colleges
Build a solid career plan
Give back to the community
Organize events
Become a peer-mentor
And much more!
