Mission Statement
Involving students through out the university, RU Men’s Volleyball strives to improve people’s skills and abilities to the game of volleyball. While just completing our first full year we have become very successful and well-known across the state of Virginia at other Colleges and Universities. We compete in a very competitive conference having teams ranked in the top 25 each year, and we soon hope to be there as well. We also take great pride in our sportsmanship towards other teams and our companionship to each other. We play year round and have a great time doing it.
Recent News:
September 25, 2008 - First three tournaments set tough pace for RU Men's Volleyball Team. Announcing schedule RU Men's Volleyball will participate in 3 away tournaments for the fall. They first start off at JMU playing in a two day tournament the "2nd Annual Derrick Beckner Memorial Tournament", which excepts up to 40 teams all over the East Coast. The second tournament will be at UNC - Wilmington, where it will go against many new faces from the states NC and SC. The third tournament of the fall RU Men's Volleyball will be traveling to KING College participating against teams that are in the NCAA Varsity squads, and not just club. September 23, 2008 - With the massive amount of interest this year, Radford Men's Club Volleyball has decided to split into 2 teams, an "A" side and a "B" side. With depth on both rosters, it should be a fun and successful year. Out of the 20 players that made it only 8 will be returning, which left room for the much young talent recruited over the year.
September 23, 2008 - Congratulations!!! to the players who made the team for the 2008-2009 school year. With the surprising number of interest it was not easy to make this decision.
