"The Secondary Mathematics Professional Development Center at Radford University is supported by funding from the Virginia Department of Education through the Mathematics and Science Partnership grant program.* Currently (2014-2015), we are in our fifth year of grant funding from the VA DOE. Partnered with Virginia Commonwealth University, NASA, and 29 Virginia school divisions, we provide top-quality professional development which enables high school mathematics teachers to improve their mathematics content, pedagogy, and assessment.
The grant provides high school math teachers in partnering counties with tuition and supplies for graduate-level coursework at Radford University and Virginia Commonwealth University, and travel and housing for a NASA summer institute."
