Hazardous waste drop-off event happens Saturday
RU Recycling and RU Sustainability are encouraging the campus community to participate Saturday, Oct. 19, in the Household Hazardous Waste and Document Shredding event at the Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority (MRSWA) facility in Christiansburg. The event runs from 8 a.m. to noon and is for participants to drop off hazardous materials and keep those materials out of landfills. To learn more about the event, including what items will and will not be accepted, visit the MRSWA website.
