Verizon to present $20,000 gift to RU
On Friday, representatives from Verizon Communications will visit RU to present a check in the amount of $20,000 to support Peaceline Plus, a sexual assault and dating violence awareness program co-sponsored by RU and the Women's Resource Center of the New River Valley. Read more
RU adjunct professor is awarded Outstanding Teacher of the Year for technology education
Wendy Phillips, an adjunct literacy education professor in Radford University's School of Teacher Education and Leadership, has been named the Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) 2013 Outstanding Teacher of the Year. Read more

Put on your Radford red and cheer the Highlanders to victory as Men's Basketball as the team takes on the Virginia Tech Hokies on Friday, Nov. 29, in Blacksburg.
Mark '93 and Sarah Woolwine of Roanoke are hosting a pre-game social at noon on the sixth floor of VT's Lane Stadium. Mingle with fellow alumni and enjoy classic tailgate fare in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere before the 2 p.m. tip off in Cassell Coliseum.
Tickets for the social are $20 per person and tickets for the game can purchased at the social. RSVP and order tickets online or by calling 1-888-478-4723 until Nov. 26.
