PHYS 330 class information
- The PHYS 330 class information sheet I handed out the first day of class.
- The example Mathematica notebook that I'll update as we go through the semester. Be sure to right-click and "save link as" this file--don't just click on this link and try to open it directly from the web
- The textbook for this class is "An Introduction to Thermal Physics" by Daniel V. Schroeder. There is also a corrections page which keeps track of small things that could throw off the reader. If things seem out of whack as you're reading the book then be sure to check this page to see if it's real or not.
- Links relevant to this class:
- The NIST Chemistry webbook which includes a lot of thermodynamic data (enthalpies of formation, heat capacities, entropy values, etc.) that you will be expected to look up here.
- WebElements.com which has a lot of physical information about individual elements.
- Wiki (dur)
