The larger set has N1=50 turns and a radius of 15cm. The smaller set has N2=250 turns and a radius of 3cm. You can assume the field created by the larger set of coils is uniform throughout the smaller coils. Consider a toroid of inner radius ri and outer radius ro, with N turns of wire. (a) Derive the general expression for the magnetic field of this toroid. (b) Derive the general expression for the self-inductance of this toroid. (c) If ri=0.90cm, ro=1.40cm, the height of the toroid is h=0.60cm, and N=25, find the self-inductance of this toroid in units of Henrys. Derive the wave equation for the electric field E assuming there are no sources of current (J=0) or charge (ρ=0). Show all of your steps.    That's all for homework #11.
