Friendly Staff on Hand to Help
The university wants to make
your transition from home to college easy. Our well-trained staff plays a
key role in promoting personal and group development. Serving as a valuable
resource for students, staff share information about campus, take care of
housekeeping and maintenance problems and enforce university and residential
life policies. In addition to stressing the importance of a strong academic
environment, the residential staff members serve as friends and advisers.
One Resident Director (RD) is
assigned to each hall and a Resident Assistant (RA) lives on each floor or
wing. After obtaining sophomore standing and living on campus for at least
one semester, students are eligible for an RA position.
Additionally, Assistant Director/Area Coordinators are professional
staff members who reside in each of the four residential quads. The AD/ACs
oversee the Resident Directors and the buildings within the quad. They
organize conduct proceedings, complete administrative tasks, and are
available to discuss student concerns.
