Residence Halls Break Closing Information

Thanksgiving/Fall Break
-
All residence
halls (except Pocahontas & Ingles; see below) close at 5pm
on Friday, November 20, 2009
-
Students with extenuating circumstances may request to stay
until noon on Saturday, November 21, 2009. Residents should
contact their RD to make these arrangements. Only extenuating
circumstances will be approved.

All residence halls will re-open at noon on Sunday, November
29, 2009.
Winter Break
-
All residence
halls (except Pocahontas & Ingles; see below) close at 5pm
on Friday, December 18, 2009

Students participating in Commencement can arrange to stay
beyond the closing date and time. More information will be
made available later in the semester.

All residence halls will re-open at noon on Sunday, January
17, 2010.
Ingles & Pocahontas Halls Break Housing
-
Ingles & Pocahontas Halls offer break housing and will
remain open through breaks. Break housing is available only
to Ingles & Pocahontas residents.
-
Students staying for Fall break must submit a completed
Break Housing Form to their RD by noon on Tuesday, November
17, 2009. Students staying for break will be charged $15.00
per night to their student account.

Students staying for Winter break must submit a completed
Break Housing Form to their RD by noon on Tuesday, December
15, 2009. Students staying for break will be charged $15.00
per night to their student account.

Athletes required to stay on campus during breaks for sports
will not be charged the $15.00 fee for nights they are
required to stay. Required dates will be verified with the
Athletics Department.
