  • U.S. Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Commissioning Ceremony, Muse Banquet Room, sponsored by the Radford University ROTC.
• 3:00 p.m.
  • Pinning Ceremony for the Waldron College School of Nursing graduates, Ken Bondurant Auditorium in Preston Hall, sponsored by the Radford University Waldron College School of Nursing.
• 7:00 p.m.
  • Donning of the Kente Ceremony in the Bonnie Hurlburt Student Center Auditorium, sponsored by the Association of Black Professionals of Radford University.  RSVP to clewis@radford.edu by 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008.

Saturday, May 3, 2008:

• 8:00 a.m.
  • Hooding Ceremony for Graduate students in Ken Bondurant Auditorium. Students will receive a "RSVP" card electronically from the Graduate College.  This card MUST be returned to the Graduate College, by April 7,2008, to confirm attendance at the ceremony.
• 9:00 a.m.
  • Line up begins on Moffett Quad for undergraduate students in the following order:
    • Humanities & Behavioral:  next to Pocahontas and Bolling on the side that faces Peters Hall

  All other Colleges next to Ingles and Draper in the following order:

  •  Business & Economics: next to Ingles on the side that faces Fairfax Hall
  •  Education: at the side of Ingles that faces Lot DD at the corner of the sidewalk towards Tyler Ave.
  •  Science & Technology: the side of Ingles that faces Tyler Ave.
  •  Visual & Performing: at the side of Ingles and Draper that faces Tyler Ave.
  • Waldron: at the side of Draper that faces Tyler Ave.

• 9:30 a.m.
  • Graduate students should assemble in front of the College of Business and Economics after the Hooding Ceremony concludes.
• 10:00 a.m.
  • Processional and Commencement Ceremony will begin.
• Individual College ceremonies
  • All individual college ceremonies will begin in the following areas approximately 30 minutes after the Main Ceremony has concluded, unless otherwise stated below. (click here Campus Map for a map link to find your ceremony venue):
    • Humanities & Behavioral:  Moffett Quad
      • ** Students and their families from this College are expected to remain seated in this area so the ceremony can proceed in a timely manner **
    • Business & Economics: McConnell Library Lawn
    • Education & Human Development: Patrick D. Cupp Memorial Stadium
    • Science & Technology: Sculpture Court beginning at 2 p.m.
    • Visual & Performing Arts: Sculpture Court
    • Waldron College of Health & Human Services: Ken Bondurant Auditorium
• 12:00 p.m. Communication Sciences & Disorders, Foods & Nutrition, and Nursing
• 1:30 p.m. Recreation, Parks and Tourism and Social Work
