Virginia Laws 

Virginia Alcohol Laws state the following:
  • It is illegal for someone under the age of 21 to buy, possess, drink or serve alcoholic beverages
  • It is illegal to use an altered, fictitious, facsimile or simulated identification to purchase alcohol
  • It is illegal to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 21 or intoxicated
  • It is illegal to sell alcohol without a license
  • It is illegal to buy alcohol without a license
  • It is illegal to consume alcohol in any unlicensed public place
  • It is illegal to appear in public intoxicated
  • it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol

It is illegal to carry or consume any alcohol in a public place - this can include your porch,

front yard or the sidewalk.
