My name is Matt Vecchio. I've lived a pretty full life already, and been quite fortunate to have a mom who's supported me throughout my life. My parents divorced when I was 12, and it was just my mom and I for awhile. I actually haven't spoken with my biological father in 6+ years. I have two half-brothers and a half-sister, and when my mom re-married I obtained two step-brothers as well. I consider all my true siblings, and it's an interesting contrast to see that I am an only-child but also have a large family.
I am hearing-impaired, with somewhere around a 60% loss in both ears, but have adapted well. I began wearing hearing aids in first grade, but the actual origin is unknown, I could have simply been born with it. I lip-read exceptionally, and if you met me on the street probably would not even realize I wear hearing aids.
I love sports, and play them avidly. I played for Radford University's Club Football team as an outside linebacker, and at the time this was written, I am the all-time leader in interceptions for RU Football. My favorite NFL team is the Washington Redskins, my favorite NBA team is the Cleveland Cavaliers (gotta love Lebron) and my favorite college team is either the Virginia Cavaliers or the Colorado State Rams.
I am extremely outgoing and love meeting new people and expeirencing new things.
