Design Expeirence

• News Editor of The Tartan, 2007-2008. Was responsible for my section and did 22 issues of layout.
• Editor-in-Chief of The Tartan, 2008-present. Do layout across all sections as needed and often opt to do front page designs myself.
• Designer, The Beehive 2008-present. I do the majority of the design, as well as train others, for Radford University's 24-page, color year-magazine.
• Design Trainer, Exit 109. I train the staff of RU's literary magazine so that they have the knowledge and skills to put out a well-designed, stylish annual issue.
• Realtor's Assistant for CC Sells (Keller Williams Realty). Opportunity to expeirment with designing different brochures and seeing how the public reacted to different styles, themes and motifs.
• Realtor's Assistan for The Polaris Group (Century 21 Realty).

Design portfolio

Before my expeirence on The Tartan, I really had no idea of the complexity behind newspaper design, and I quickly absored it.
