I am currently a junior at Radford University. I am majoring in Media Studies with a double concentration in journalism and advertising with a minor in spanish.

Over the years I have become involved with different organiztions on campus:

Sigma Sigma Sigma

I am a member of the Greek organization Sigma Sigma Sigma here at Radford University. Currently I hold the position of treasurer and social chairman. This organization has been a great opportunity for me to give back in the community and at the same time, I have been able to exercise my leadership skills.

Appalachinan Arts and Students in the Schools (AASIS)

I am a volunteer mentor for the AASIS program at Radford. During the 2008-2009 academic year, eighty Radford University students, eighteen high school teachers, and 160 students from Southwest Virginia high schools are participating in this program. It is funded by a private benefactor, was designed to achieve two goals: the first---to encourage promising young Southwest Virginia students to pursue higher education; the second---to give these students an opportunity to learn more about the culture of the Appalachian region.
