Welcome to the updated website of the Radford Rugby Football club. We are a brotherhood of athletes who since 1988 have liked to practice hard, work hard and win big on the pitch. We share the common goal of improving ourselves as rugby players and members of society as we come together to play the great and intense game of rugby.
Our head coach, Kurt Goddard, is an alumnus of Radford University who came all the way from South Africa to attend Radford University. During his four years here, he was the starting scrum half and played a key role in winning the 2003 Division II National Championship.
The team has a Faculty Advisor who helps players with academic issues such as scheduling courses and maintaining good grades, and with University policies. Dr. Samson (English Department) is also the Assistant Coach of the team. In 2003, he received the University's Advisory Excellence Award for his work with Men's Rugby.
The team also has three other assistant coaches; Kevin Milks, Matt Lopez, and James Yates. All played pivotal roles in winning the 2008 Division II National Championship.
