Why Study Mathematics at Radford?

● Our class sizes are small. Calculus classes have no more than 25 students and upper-division courses have between 5-15 students.

● We provide meaningful opportunities for our undergraduates including research and arranging conference presentations.

● We take students on study abroad trips—including places such as Malawi and Bletchley Park, England!

● We have faculty who run their own journals, and students in our department have published their own work in these journals.

Admissions Requirements

Students who are accepted into Radford University are guaranteed admission into the Mathematics degree program.

You can learn about mathematics anywhere in the world

In 2018, a group consisting of 6 students visited London and Bletchley Park as part of a study-abroad trip. The purpose of this trip was to study the mathematics behind how and where the Bletchley Park codebreakers, led by Alan Turing, broke the World War II German Enigma Cipher.
