My favorite hobby (in terms of amount of time spent actually doing it) is thinking about all the things I would do if I had the time to do it.  I don't believe this is healthy, but it is convenient.  It is particularly convenient if you have insomnia, but don't want to get out of bed for fear of awakening your wife.

Nonetheless, I do dabble in fun activities, which include walking around in attractive places, and also fly-fishing (which generally happens in attractive places).  A significant portion of my fishing is in the New River as it runs through Radford, from the comfort of my canoe.  The drought of 2002 seemed to raise the spirits of some big smallmouth bass to the point that they actually attached themselves to my dubious poppers, and thrashed about in a highly satisfactory manner.  I also spend considerable time trying to attract trout out of the Smith River in southside Virginia.  They can be ornery.

I do a lot of walking in the local area, particularly Wildwood Park with Maia the crazy dog who was recently exiled from the park due to behavior unbefitting of a dog.  If she learns to behave herself, she may be rewarded by having her picture in this website.
