Fall Opening

Move In

Moving InResidence Halls Open beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27. Check in will also begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, and Sunday, Aug. 29.  Returning upper-class students are encouraged to move in on Saturday or Sunday.  New freshmen who did not attend New Student Orientation are asked to move in between noon and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26.  All new freshmen and transfers who attended New Student Orientation are encouraged to move in any time after 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 27. Move-in for Muse Hall will be staggered by assigning times according to floors.

Freshmen in Honors Academy will move into Floyd or Peery Hall on Friday, Aug. 27, 8:30 a.m.-noon and report to 203 McGuffey Hall for their orientation on Friday, Aug. 27, at 7:00 p.m.

Off-Campus Students should go to the Office of the Dean of Students in Heth Hall Room 207 Thursday and Friday, Aug. 26 & 27, for off-campus student information or assistance. All information is also available online at either www.radford.edu/dos-web or www.radford.edu/ocsc/.

Move-In Parking Services

  • University Police will post signs, handle traffic, and coordinate 30-minute parking lot coverage for Friday, 8/27. 
  • A limited number of spaces will be designated for unloading in lots on Saturday, 8/28.
  • Greeks will staff 30-minute parking lots and assist with move-in Friday, 8/27, 7:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. 
  • RUPD will provide 30-minute parking notices to Greeks the morning of 8/27.
  • Draper and Ingles lawn will be open as a parking lot for students moving in. 
  • The medians on Tyler Ave. will be off limits to parking.
  • Facilities will be providing carts and tractors to help carry students’ belongings.
  • Water locations for parents and students moving in on 8/27 will be set up in front of Muse Hall, on Moffett Field, at Walker Hall and in the Governor's Quad.
