
The HVAC Shop consists of
six personnel: The HVAC Supervisor, 2 HVAC Technicians, 2 HVAC Assistants
and one Trades Utility Worker (the person who is responsible for changing
air filters).
Their responsibilities include
installing, maintaining and operating heating, ventilation and air conditioning
systems, such as cooling towers, chiller, air conditioning compressors,
air compressors, heat pumps and refrigeration systems. All personnel
handling refrigerants are EPA certified for the safe handling of refrigerants.
The HVAC personnel are on call 24
hours a day, 7 days a week, for emergency repairs. If an emergency occurs,
or if a heating or cooling comfort issue arises during normal working
hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday), contact Customer Service
(Work Control) at 831-7800. After normal working hours, contact the
Campus Police Department at 831-5500 and they will call in the on-call
HVAC technician.
