
The key control division has the responsibility to issue, control and
account for all keys and locks used to gain access to all university facilities.
The University uses a master keyed system provided by
Best Access Systems
To maintain integrity and security of the system, the key control department
operates a computerized database which keeps track of hundreds of keys,
cores, doors and employees. This database records the names of all
employees, by department, and the keys they have been issued.
To
maintain that level of integrity all keys must be issued to full-time
faculty or staff. We have to adhere strictly to our key
control policy
in all cases, so please be careful with your state issued keys.
