Security Tip
Be alert to email scams at home and at work - attackers may send email stating that they require your personal information so that a package can be delivered to you or so that they can issue a refund to you. Legitimate businesses will not ask for your personal information by email, nor will Radford University.

IT Tip
If you accidentally delete any file or folder in Windows, restore it by going to the Recycle Bin and selecting the option "Restore All Items." All deleted files or selected files or folders can be recovered in this manner.

IT Sustainability Tip
"System Stand-by" comes from the laptop community and allows the system to nearly shut down while preserving a session. Minimal power is consumed to preserve the state of your applications while making it fast and easy to return to it when needed. When in Standby mode, a computer will consume about 5 percent of its normal power and use less electricity. Many users find that going into "standby" after 20 or 30 minutes is an appropriate setting.
