Sarah M. Gilbert, an instructor in the Waldron College of Health and Human Services, has been granted Fellow status by the National Gerontological Nursing Association (NGNA).

Gilbert received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Radford University and holds a national credential as a clinical nurse specialist in gerontology.

In awarding Fellow status, the NGNA recognizes outstanding leadership in gerontological nursing and distinguished contributions to the field, including practice, teaching, research, administration, consultation or other public services.
