In fall 2012, Radford University will open a new complex for the College of Business and Economics (COBE). The 110,000-square-foot building at Jefferson Street and Tyler Avenue is the result of a public-private partnership with the Commonwealth of Virginia and will be the signature campus building for the 21st century.
With its state-of-the-art classrooms and technology, conference rooms and meeting spaces, the new COBE complex is designed to stimulate collaboration and teamwork. In keeping with the university's commitment to sustainability, the building is being constructed with the goal of achieving Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver designation.

Upcoming Capital Projects
New Wellness Center
Located off Jefferson Street, this $32 million, 112,000 square foot facility will provide students with a state-of-the-art recreational, wellness and exercise facility. Construction is expected to begin in late fall or early winter, with an opening in fall 2013.
New Multilevel Building for the Center for the Sciences
This multilevel, $49 million, 115,000 square foot structure will house laboratory, research and classroom spaces with sustainability features to minimize energy costs. Expected opening is in summer 2014.

- Novozymes Biologicals names laboratory and supports STEM education in the new center.
