Resident Assistants are students committed to helping residents enjoy all aspects of campus life. The RA serves as the liaison between the students and administrators, reports maintenance requests, informs residents of upcoming events, and also lends an ear when needed. The RA provides the opportunity for residents to get acquainted through planned activities, educational programs, and being knowledgeable of various services offered on campus. 

The Resident Assistant selection process is now closed but we are still accepting applications from students who wish to be considered as alternates should positions become open. More information can be found on the Resident Assistant Selection website.

Resident Directors are graduate students responsible for the operation of a residence hall on campus, including supervising Resident Assistants and ensuring the safety and security of the residents. The RD serves on departmental committees and is a conduct officer for policy violations occurring within the hall. The Resident Director position is available to full-time graduate students enrolled at Radford University. Positions are typically offered for two years but we will consider candidates who can only serve for one year. Preference is given to those with previous residential life experience but anyone with applicable experiences is encouraged to apply.
