Research in Action: Reptiles and Amphibians at Selu Conservancy

Matti Hamed, a senior biology major, is working with Matt Close, assistant professor of biology, to establish a long-term population study of reptiles and amphibians at Selu Conservancy to determine current species diversity and abundance.


Placing Paw Prints in Wildwood Park

Victoria Scott, a senior biology major, is working on a placing paw prints of different animals in Wildwood Park in hopes that children visiting the park will want to learn more about the animals who live there and spend more time in nature. The project is a collective effort of Radford High School biology classes, Lowe's, Pathways for Radford, and Radford University's Scholar-Citizen Initiative.
